‘Big Hurt’ing for One Team Today

35 Days until Opening Day 2011

We are now 35 days away from Opening Day and today we saw one team take a ‘Big Hurt.’ The Cardinals lost ace starter Adam Wainwright for all of 2011 and possibly some of 2012 with an elbow injury. It was confirmed that he will need Tommy John surgery. As much as they want to think it, the Cards do not exactly have too many good options within the organization to fill the void. Kevin Millwood and Jeremy Bonderman are the best free agent options. They are both better choices than Kyle McClellan and Ian Snell, that’s for sure. More fantasy baseball rankings coming this week. Also, coming up will be the first non-baseball non topic piece of the Warning Track Power blog; the first annual Bracket of the Bros. Stay tuned for more information on fantasy and the bracket.
